I have pride in the person who I am today. But that wasn’t always the case. As a child, sometimes I was very afraid, sometimes I was trying to deny part of who I am. But then, in 2014, everything changed and I’m happy to say that it was for the better. Today, I’m a proud, openly gay men. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

But I also know that my experience is nowhere near universal. There are lots of people out there who are still struggling just like I was some years ago. So that’s why I think it is important to celebrate Pride. Because there are a lot of people who can’t because they might fear repercussions or because they are still coming to terms with themselves.

So, in this Pride month, I’m not only Pride of myself, but I’m also Pride for everyone, out or not, out there in the world. I love you, and I’m so proud of you. Let’s celebrate who we are this month, and also let’s remember how far along we have become and what comes next.

Let’s show the world that love always wins.
